Situation: The healthcare sector faced a significant challenge with managing patient medical data. It needed to be secure, private, and yet easily accessible across various platforms, a balance that was hard to achieve with existing systems.
Task: Our goal was to overhaul how medical data was handled using blockchain technology, ensuring it met strict privacy standards like HIPAA, while also making the data easily manageable and shareable by patients and healthcare providers alike.
Action: We opted for a permissioned blockchain for better privacy control, encrypting data to safeguard sensitive information. To empower patients, we introduced NFT-based digital identities, enabling secure access to their records. We developed an intuitive app with a focus on user-friendliness and accessibility, ensuring it integrated well with existing healthcare systems. Feedback from initial pilot tests helped refine our approach.
